Orchardleigh Estate

The Venue

We fell in love with Orchardleigh House pretty instantly, and we think you will too!

  • Please use the postcode BA11 2PB in your sat nav for the smoothest journey.

  • Please add 5/10 minutes to your journey time - the drive way is extensive and you may be held up by golfers (not joking).

  • If you arrive early, you can pop in to the Peacock Restaurant in the Orchardleigh Golf Club to grab a drink or snack. For those staying on-site the night before, you will be able to get a cooked breakfast here should you wish - or pop in to the local town for a bite!

  •  The car park is easy to find, but we'll sign post it for you too - once you've parked, please head through the main entrance to the house, where someone will be waiting to get you checked in to your room.

Pitch Up & Play

Children

Whilst we are not having a child-free wedding, we encourage guests to arrange alternative childcare where possible. We know that weddings are not always an enjoyable environment for children, and we also want to make sure that our guests (yes, parents...you!) can let loose and enjoy the party.

We do, however, appreciate that this may be difficult for some of our guests. For those who would be happier bringing their children to the party, please read the below.

We have hired a fantastic childcare team, who have been well-researched and have come highly recommended. They are qualified and experienced in caring for children of all ages, and are well accustomed to children with additional needs.

  • Our ceremony will be child-free. Fear not, it will be short and sweet; but, we ask that children under 11 remain with the childcare team for this small portion of the day. Please make sure your little ones are settled with the childminder before 2pm.

  • Prior to the wedding, all parents will be contacted by the childcare team, and will be asked to provide all of the important information needed to keep your children well cared for and occupied when needed. The childcare team will remain with us throughout the day, and will provide toys, games and activities to suit your children.

Garden Party Formal

Dress Code

We'd describe our dress code as 'Garden Party Formal'.

We know you'll all look your best if you feel your best, so please dress up nicely... but make sure you feel confident and comfortable!

  • We politely ask that ladies don't wear predominantly white outfits.

  • Girlies - please be aware that parts of the site are on stone/gravel or grass - we'd suggest using heel guards or wearing block/wedge heels (also huge advocates of flats).
